EDITORS NOTE: Graphic content / Twenty-one-year old Lebanese transsexual and make-up artist, Toy, poses for a photo at an art studio in a popular neighbourhood of Beirut on January 16, 2016.
Toy was rejected by his family and expelled from Saudi Arabia a few years ago after spending 40 days in jail for his feminine attitude. Transgender people are heavily stigmitized in Lebanon but on January 16, 2016, Lebanons Court of Appeals granted a transgender man the right to change his sex in the civil registry on account of his own gender identification, marking a step toward granting transpeople legal recognition for their status. / AFP / Patrick BAZ
